Back in September we had the lovely Hannah Blackmore come and photograph Baby Oliver’s nursery for a feature in Minty Magazine (I know, right!?) and I thought I’d share some snaps with you! Minty Mag’s first ever print issue is available to buy now, and as well as having Baby Oliver’s nursery featured (and on the cover – eeeeep!) Addison’s room is featured too – so make sure you grab your copy!

All images below were styled by me and taken by Hannah Blackmore and are copyright – please be a good digital citizen and credit Hannah and myself if reposting :) For a full list of where to buy things, please scroll to the bottom!

While putting together Oliver’s nursery, I was torn between decals and painting the lower half of the wall to create a feature. I really really wanted to paint, but the fact that we were (and still are, ha!) incredibly time poor and we aren’t staying in this house for much longer pushed me to choose decals instead and boyyy am I happy – I LOVE them! I get asked all the time where I got them from and how many I used to create the look etc, so here you go: I got them from The Lovely Wall on Etsy. Super fast delivery, sweet to deal with and great product! Totally recommend them. I used ONE pack of 136 hand drawn dots and the wall measures 2.4m high x 3.4m wide :) I didn’t really use a system to stick them on (totally surprising, I know right) and Addison helped. I just took a bit of a step back every so often to make sure they were fairly evenly spaced. Any that weren’t were super easy to re-position!

To my absolute core I am a person that appreciates great quality (and often expensive!) things. I am a firm believer that it is much, much better to spend the money once and get something that you can rely on and will stick around for the long haul, rather than continually forking out money to replace it. Baby Neal’s nursery was no exception to this, so it was a no-brainer that I needed this breathtaking Milkcart dresser! I got in contact with the guys at Milkcart about customising one of their already existing pieces to fit my specs. Such an easy-breezy process and in about 6wks it was ready for me to pick up. Ryan and his wife are an absolute gem of a team and I am so thankful to them for creating something so perfect for Oliver. It serves as an awesome change table at the moment (I can fit an entire box 108 newborn nappies in the top drawer!) and it will very easily transition into a dresser as he gets older – howzzzat as bang for your buck!
